Tessa Blake is an award-winning writer and director. Her films have premiered at SXSW, won the Nantucket Film Festival, been honored by the Academy, been released theatrically, and have played on Showtime, PBS and ShortsHD. She and her husband, Ian Williams, are a writing team for film and television and have enjoyed script deals with ABC, NBC, FOX and Warner Brothers. Currently, Tessa is a 2014 American Film Institute Directing Workshop for Women fellow.
Though Ian Williams now writes for TV and movies in Los Angeles, his career began with a bestselling non-fiction book ("13th-GEN"), cover stories for The Washington Post Magazine, and articles in The New York Times and Newsweek. He has shared the sofa on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and his play "K,X,Z and V" is performed nationwide. Ian's band will release its first album this year, including a song featured in ELECTION NIGHT
Best known as an actress, Catherine portrayed Danni Sofer on the acclaimed FX series THE SHIELD for six seasons. From co-starring in films as diverse as 21 GRAMS, AUTO FOCUS and THE MAJESTIC, she recently look her vast experience to the other side of the camera, directing SILK for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. She can be seen this season on FOX TV's, GANG RELATED and is currently in production on the AMC pilot GALYNTINE.
Grace Santos Feeney is an award-winning actor, producer and lawyer. Having produced SILK together - starring Oscar-nominated Shohreh Agadashloo - Catherine and Grace teamed up again on ELECTION NIGHT. A teaching assistant for the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television’s Professional Programs in Producing and in Television, Grace studied Theatre Arts, Religious Studies, and Law at the University of Miami and Flinders University of South Australia.
With over 15 years experience as camera operator and assistant, Jim's credits include “Hawaii 5-0,” “Numb3rs,” and "The Bunglers." He was Cinematographer on Leave Keys in Car, winner of an Award of Excellence at the Best Shorts Fest. Jim wrote, directed and shot “Kenobi Cube,” a short film honored in Honolulu’s “Showdown in Chinatown.” He followed "Kenobi" with two more shorts "Square One" and "Full Circle" to complete his trilogy.
Shamim Seifzadeh was born in United States and spent her childhood in Iran. In 2012, she received her MFA in Production Design from the American Film Institute. Dirty Laundry – her thesis film – won the DGA award for Best Student Short and was a finalist for the Student Academy Award. Silk, directed by Catherine Dent, has enjoyed a tremendous success at festivals around the world. This fall, Shamim was invited to join the Art Directors Guild.
As photographer and commercial director, Stasia’s clients include Nike, Sony, and Hanes. She has photographed Will Smith, Mohammed Ali and Maria Sharapova. Stasia was a producer on “Leave Keys In Car,” then went on to produce and edit “Kenobi Cube,” a short film honored in Honolulu’s “Showdown in Chinatown,” as well as "Square One" and "Full Circle."
Cristina Rackoff is a film and video editor at the boutique post-production facility, Big Sky Editorial, located in New York City. Clients include American Frozen Foods Institute (AFFI), CoverGirl, Clairol, Cigna, Ford, Garnier, Gerber, Post Cereal and MasterCard. Rackoff was nominated for Best Editing at the 2013 HPA Awards for Lena Dunham's "My First Time" Obama For America campaign video. She earned her B.F.A at the School of Visual Arts, while simultaneously working for Apple Computer.
